Who?

When author/caterer Mary Giuliani decided to combine the two things she loves most: storytelling and food, she had no idea what a dynamic gathering it would turn into. Curating and hosting her first event, “Eating Stories,” premiered at the New York City Wine and Food Festival to a sold out crowd of 200+ attended, who laughed, noshed and drank with Mary and her friends, Rachael Ray, Michael Symon, Danny Bowien, Jennifer Rubell and Action Bronson.

The stories ranged from Mary’s love affair with the pig in a blanket, Action’s memory or his mother’s legendary pizza bagel and Rachael Ray’s beloved Grandfather’s special stew. The result was a fully interactive, hilarious, touching and delicious event, with audience members asking, “When’s the next show?”

Taking the success of that event, Mary went on to host two more “Eating Stories,” with both New York Magazine and WeWork, with guests that included New York Magazine’s Adam Platt, Vogue’s Jonathan Van Meter, Christie’s Auctioneer Lydia Fenet, Nick Morganstern, Carol Radziwill and
even Mary’s favorite hot dog vendor!!

What?

“Eating Stories” : format that showcases various performers telling/performing their stories, in the style of “The Moth” – no notes, unscripted or scripted, in front of a live audience. All stories revolve around a food/drink memory and performers are a collection of up and coming personalities and bold name notables in the entertainment/art/music/culinary world. What makes it special is that on cue, the audience is served nibbles or sips of the food or drink being referenced in the story.

When?

When Covid diverted Mary online, she continued to “Eat Stories” virtually with guests including Lorraine Bracco, Scott Ian, Dylan Dryer, Grace Potter, Michael Lang, Mindy Cohn and many more. And while that was successful, Mary is thrilled to be back in front of a LIVE audience hosting two dates at the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Greenwich Food and Wine Festival in October 2021 and a November date at the Kaatsbaan historic artists sanctuary located in the Hudson Valley, with potential guests to include Dana Cowin, Fran Lebowitz, Tig Notaro, Bradley Cooper, Gary Dell’Abate, Mariska Hargitay, Julianna Margulies, Ralph Macchio, David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris, and Harian Coben.
